The AMX valves are provided with metal plates and special spring plates or finger springs.

They are particularly indicated for lubricated conditions at high speeds, to 1800 rpm, and high temperatures to 250°C. Amongst different types of valves they have the lowest clearance. Often they are combined together with the CX type forming the concentric valves mostly used in marine compressors.
